SACRED CONNECTIONS
(Highland Perthshire, Scotland)

Sacred Connections seeks to communicate and network ideas and
information arising from a perception of the spiritual and holistic nature of Life

Humanity is a manifestation of Divine Principle with the inherent potential to transcend its current collective preconditioned mode of belief systems and move into an awareness of pure knowing, the I AM Awakening - God Realisation.

Our objective is to gain a greater intuitive awareness and perception. This greater spiritually orientated awareness helps us to perceive the 'bigger picture' so to speak. An increasing number of people throughout the world are presently becoming aware that there is an evolving planetary transformation taking place which is intensifying at this time.

Our understanding is that it is important to have a balance of inner and outer spiritual practice which unites both heart and mind. This involves applying, for example, a measure of service, study, reflection and meditation. This process may also be assisted through the dissemination and exchange of information relating to a philosophy of life based on spiritual perception and a recognition of Universal law of sacred unity.

We also organise local seminars with various speakers, covering a variety of spiritual subjects. For guided tours to sacred sites in this local area see Sacred site tours for more information.

In keeping with our overall theme of Sacred Connections we continue with some inspiring and enlightening spiritual quotations. We also have a number of interesting spiritual link sites listed after these quoted passages:

The Sufi Master Sani of Afghanistan - 1131 A.D.
"Humanity is asleep, concerned only with what is useless, living in a wrong world....
You have an inverted knowledge and religion if you are upside down in relation to Reality."

From An Exploration into God by Sir George Trevelyan. "The long, tragic and gallant history of humanity now reaches a point of consummation, when God can enter consciousness. He is always everywhere, for he IS Life and Love. But we must now lift consciousness so that humanity can be reborn. This planet of ours is giving birth to something new in the Universe, a seed of creation, a new species bound by love to the conscious creative service of God. Let us rejoice. For this we exist. To take this step, to channel the redemptive power of Love, is all that matters now. Then a New Age will truly be born."

From a journal entitled Temple Doors we quote Thoth Raismes of Aphra: "Nothing is ever created, it is only transformed from one field of consciousness to another. Thus, Manifestation is Transformation. Be ready to receive what you manifest, as it will transform your life. If you are not prepared for the transformation, that which you have manifested can defeat you. Flow with the new matrix, and you will receive Liberation."

In The Sufi Message of Hazrat Inayat Khan (volume I) we read the following: "God is love. If God is love, love is most sacred, and to utter this word without meaning is a vain repetition. The lips of a person to whom it means something, are closed, he can say little. For love is a revelation in itself, no study is necessary, no meditation is needed, no piety is required. If love is pure, if the spark of love has begun to glow, then there is no need to go somewhere to gain spirituality, then spirituality is within. One must keep blowing the spark till it turns into a perpetual fire. The fire-worshippers of old did not worship a fire which went out, they worshipped a perpetual fire. Where is that perpetual fire to be found? In one's own heart."

In Words to the Wise by Manly P. Hall: "The monks of Zen Buddhism, whose whole doctrine is one of internal truth, have left us some good precepts. They say that when a man talks with his real Self, when through the highest of human accomplishments he is lifted up to that truth ever abiding within him.... The little self (personality), when elevated to temporary identity with the great Self (universality), neither senses nor perceives, but rather - knows. For that which is known under such conditions, there is no word."

"To the mystic, astronomy is the key to magnitude values. Astronomy enlarges the universe, revealing a world too large for smallness, too glorious for meanness, too beautiful for hate, too honest for deceit. Astronomy reveals man's place in the plan. It shows him to be a part of an infinity of incalculable life, and reveals the whole sidereal diffusion bound together by an all-ensouling wholeness. Man's kinship with the stars and the grain of sand is established."

"The word philosophy was first used by Pythagoras to designate the science of the love of wisdom. Man, living in the midst of an infinite existence, reaches out from himself by intellectual extensions and seeks to grasp the whole of infinity within the narrow confines of his own intellect, hence Philosophy.... Philosophy is more than merely thinking and arguing. It is the science of building up the capacity to know."

From The Mysticism of Sound and Music by Hazrat Inayat Khan: "There are two stages in every activity, action and result. Action manifests itself in audibility, and results in visibility. In the Bible there is a statement about this: that first there was the word and then there came light. The Qur'an in this connection says that first the word was spoken and then all became manifest. This is seen in some form or other in every activity which descends from the invisible to the visible. The preparatory stage of all things is audible, and when finished they are visible. In other words, from the world of sound there came the world of forms. Therefore the Hindus call Nada Brahma, the Sound-God, the Creator."

"Since all things are made by the power of sound, of vibration, so every thing is made by a portion thereof, and man can create his world by the same power. Among all aspects of knowledge the knowledge of sound is supreme, for all aspects of knowledge depend upon the knowing of form, except that of sound, which is beyond all form. By the knowledge of sound man obtains the knowledge of creation, and the mastery of that knowledge helps man to rise to the formless. This knowledge acts as wings for a man, it helps him to rise from earth to heaven, and he can penetrate through the life seen and unseen."

Lastly, a prayer by Theresa Dunford:

To God Source
God source, flow your love through me
That I may be of greater
Service to all Life.
Help me to commune with You,
In my heart
Help me walk, think, speak, act and feel
With Your Love
Help me become a Living Flame of Love
For the good of all life

Lift my frequency and help me remember
Sweep through my being and past experience
So that my true self shines through
Unfettered by past illusionary chains or error

Your great and infinite love IS Reality
And with your Grace all these things and more,
ARE possible and Real.
