Introduction to the Akashic Records
(Extracted from The Holy Land of Scotland:
Jesus in Scotland and the Gospel of the Grail by Barry Dunford)

Under the heading The Akashic Records and the Repository of Thoth, Rev. Maia Nartoomid has related: “Akashic is an eastern term which actually refers to the planetary ‘recorder cell,’ where thought, feeling and occurrences throughout all time in the planet’s history are stored as a record of knowledge within the subtle etheric substance of the planet….Within the ‘main library’ of earth’s Akasha, there are two major levels. These are the higher or Greater Akashic, and the lower or Lesser Akashic records. In the Lesser Akashic, every thought, feeling and expression of consciousness upon the earth is recorded and compiled according to the intensity level they find within the souls of Earth who produce them. In other words, whatever is continually ‘fed’ by the power of mind and emotion in humanity, builds a field of increasing intensity within the Lesser Akashic. The Greater Akashic does not actually store the thought-forms contained in the World Soul (those of the planetary consciousness) as does the Lesser Akashic. Rather, it alchemically extracts the nectar; the purest knowledge-forms from the Lesser Akashic and translates them into highly defined ‘Light Inscriptions,’ which are then ‘flamed,’ or inscribed, into the heart of each crystal in the Greater Akashic field of the Recorder Cell. Understand that there is only one Recorder Cell, with two main fields, or levels. The akashic Records of Thoth are an overlay upon the Greater Akashic field. Certain master beings, such as Thoth, have their own ‘repositories’ of knowledge within the Greater Akashic. These repositories are actually filters which define the ‘pure extract’ taken from the Lesser Akashic, in a specific modality of divine encoding. Thus the souls who are meant to work with that certain form of encoding can more accurately discern its particular essence within the whole ‘Light-brary’ represented in the Greater Akashic. This is kind of like ‘flagging’ or ‘tagging’ files on a computer hard drive for a particular operation, like when you do a back-up to a tape drive. The tagged files form a new ‘database’ of sorts, that can be considered a repository of information which has been created from the existing files on the hard drive.”

In a communication to this writer in April 1997, Rev. Maia and Rev. Simeon Nartoomid remarked: “Rudolf Steiner called reading the akashic records, ‘investigation into the akashic’. This is certainly appropriate. Even with the help of a ‘librarian’, entering a library and having access to many books and manuscripts does not ensure that you will become entirely enlightened on the subject you pursue. As with any investigation, mis-conceptions and personal judgements may cloud the objective perception of the investigator. Even so, the quintessence of the information contains its potency. Neither the investigator nor those who may benefit from the investigation should become too absorbed in detail; instead being open to the ‘flow’, the ‘essence’ of what has been revealed. What connection does this essence make in the depths of the personal knowing? Therein lies the gist for the mill.”

To quote Rudolf Steiner himself: “By means of ordinary history man can learn only a small part of what humanity experienced in prehistory. Historical documents shed light on but a few millennia. What archaeology, paleontology, and geology can teach us is very limited. Furthermore, everything built on external evidence is unreliable. One need only consider how the picture of an event or people, not so very remote from us, has changed when new historical evidence has been discovered. One need but compare the descriptions of one and the same thing as given by different historians, and he will soon realize on what uncertain ground he stands in these matters. Everything belonging to the external world of the senses is subject to time. In addition, time destroys what has originated in time. On the other hand, external history is dependent on what has been preserved in time. Nobody can say that the essential has been preserved, if he remains content with external evidence. Everything which comes into being in time has its origin in the eternal. But the eternal is not accessible to sensory perception. Nevertheless, the ways to the perception of the eternal are open for man. He can develop forces dormant in him so that he can recognise the eternal….at a certain high level of his cognitive power, man can penetrate to the eternal origins of the things which vanish with time. A man broadens his power of cognition in this way if he is no longer limited to external evidence where knowledge of the past is concerned. Then he can see in events what is not perceptible to the senses, that part which time cannot destroy. He penetrates from transitory to non-transitory history. It is a fact that this history is written in other characters than is ordinary history. In gnosis and in theosophy it is called the ‘Akasha Chronicle.’ Only a faint conception of this chronicle can be given in our language. For our language corresponds to the world of the senses. That which is described by our language at once receives the character of this sense world. To the uninitiated, who cannot yet convince himself of the reality of a separate spiritual world through his own experience, the initiate easily appears to be a visionary, if not something worse.”

Rudolf Steiner continues: “The one who has acquired the ability to perceive in the spiritual world comes to know past events in their eternal character. They do not stand before him like the dead testimony of history, but appear in full life. In a certain sense, what has happened takes place before him. Those initiated into the reading of such a living script can look back into a much more remote past than is represented by external history; and—on the basis of direct spiritual perception—they can also describe much more dependably the things of which history tells. In order to avoid possible misunderstanding, it should be said that spiritual perception is not infallible. This perception also can err, can see in an inexact, oblique, wrong manner. No man is free from error in this field, no matter how high he stands. Therefore one should not object when communications emanating from such spiritual sources do not always entirely correspond. But the dependability of observation is much greater here than in the external world of the senses. What various initiates can relate about history and prehistory will be in essential agreement. Such a history and prehistory does in fact exist in all mystery schools. Here for millennia the agreement has been so complete that the conformity existing among external historians of even a single century cannot be compared with it. The initiates describe essentially the same things at all times and in all places.”[2]

In a transmission, dated 10th April 1997, the following informative and pertinent dialogue between Rev. Maia Nartoomid and Thoth Raismes,[3] was received. This provides an explanation of the difference between the lesser and greater Akashic Records. Rev. Maia: “Why is it that so many channels through the years point to Jesus having had children by means of physical conception with one or more women, and yet you and your ‘Records’ remain steadfast that he did not. That his only son was by Mary Magdalene conceived in an ‘immaculate’ fashion, after Jesus’ death and ascension?” Thoth Raismes: “Because variations of the ‘two women/five children’ are to be found in the lesser akashic where it was inserted at a crucial ‘glitch’ node in the time anomaly (created by the Kali Rift,[4] or fracture in time). As an example of another ‘glitch’ node, there is the insertion that the Earth will be hit in the near future by a large comet, while other channels and readers of the akashic see a different scenario of destruction. Such contradictions lie at the heart of a non-linear understanding that is very difficult to successfully impart to the third dimensional human mind. Thus, we will treat this topic with greater simplicity than the true picture involves, so that our words may hope to strike a clearer meaning for those who read this transmission. When we speak of ‘insertions’ in this context, we are addressing potentials which are specifically placed into the lesser akashic as absolutes, by beings capable of that procedure. These beings are from among the Fallen Sons of Light whom we call the ‘Nephilim’. They are well aware that the whole of the 2nd millennium reality (the fractured time zone in which your humanity exists in the now) is an illusion in the great cosmic record. It is therefore a ‘shadow game’, where past events can be erased and created differently and future potentials can be brought into form through the creation capacity of mass human thought and projection of mental synergy. The Nephilim know exactly where these insertion points in the lesser akashic lie and how to manipulate human sentience through these nodes. The ‘glitches’ are points in the lesser akashic which also can be found in tandem within the time line of the 2nd millennium Earth. This Earth is the world in which humanity now exists that was created from mis-alignment with the Ranna Time Wave, the true uninterrupted flow of time apparent. By inserting certain key ‘switches’ into the mass mind of the ‘Dark Child of Ranna’ (2nd millennium Earth), that ‘mind’ will create openings for the Nephilim in utilizing the lower mental andmagnetic energy of humanity to ensure Nephilimic continuity within fallen worlds.

“An analogy would be to picture a building with a smooth tile floor. The floor represents in this scenario, the combination 2nd millennium time line and the lesser akashic that is so sensitive to disturbances within it. The earth beneath the building is the Ranna Time Wave, a constant and comparatively stable flow (although this is not a true comparison, as the earth is also subjected to mis-alignment, and the Ranna in relation to the 2nd millennium is not. Still, it suffices for this example). There is a sudden and jolting earthquake, and the Earth moves away from the building. The building (containment field) sways to and fro, and the smooth tile floor begins to buckle in places and exhibit tiny fractures along its surface in others. There are points on the disturbed floor surface where two or more small veins of fracture meet. This is where the glitches are to be found. Several of these fracture lines come together and each one contains a specific potential alternate path created by the quake. They all have access from the same point or movement. The Nephilim find these glitches and insert akashic ‘re-writes’ along one or more of the fractures there. They are careful to write in only scenarios which align to some aspect of the world consciousness play, that is, the subconscious desire to act out certain archetypal patterns in the lower magnetic realm. Thus, the planted seed is more easily assimilated by the mind coming into contact with it. We repeat, this is a very simplified understanding of the whole.” Rev. Maia: “What am I receiving then concerning the ‘children of Jesus’? Is it just another one of those alternate fracture lines, and maybe Jesus had no children at all?” Thoth Raismes: “In a Shadow World the only source of knowing comes from the soul-mind-heart of the inner being. Anyone who attempts to know the truth must take all outer sources of knowledge into the center of that inner temple where the floors are unbroken and reflect only the constant flame of knowing.”

The foregoing is provided as a preliminary insight into the nature of the Akashic dimension within the cosmic scheme of things. Finally, in the cogent words of Sir Francis Bacon, “Read not to accept, nor to deny, nor to agree, nor to criticise or condemn, but to weigh and consider.”

[3] Thoth Raismes of Aphra also known as Thoth Hermes Trismesgistus. Under the heading Thoth, a Legacy from Orion (1997) Rev. Simeon Nartoomid relates: “Thoth has been known throughout the ages primarily for his accomplishments as the Master architect of the Great Pyramid of Giza, and is generally associated with ancient Egypt, although many refer to him as Thoth the Atlantean. Thoth tells us that he came to the Earth from the Blue Star Rigel in Orion with an energetic patterning called the Enochian Table, and that the plan for the Great Pyramid was mathematically encoded into that blueprint. He came to Earth as an Ultra-Terrestrial being, which he distinguishes from Extra-Terrestrials by explaining that Ultra beings are of a much higher evolutionary order. He oversaw the building of the Great Pyramid as a pure Orinian Ultra being after coming to Earth in a ship of Light, and had a residence in Atlantis for an extended period of time while that took place. The name he used in that experience he tells us was Toth-Mus-Zurud. At a later period he then took embodiment upon the Earth through the more normally understood process of birth. He informs us he was actually born in Tibet [as Thoth Raismes of Aphra] in that lifetime, and had considerable experience in Egypt and Greece as well as Atlantis again. This embodiment was around the period of the Great Deluge which Noah and his Ark immortalized. In fact, he lived through the Great Deluge and after that oversaw the re-building of the Great Pyramid, as it had been severely damaged in the flood. He was also known during that time for his expertise as a Master Physician and Alchemist. The name or title of Thoth, which is associated with Egypt, is vibrationally encoded from higher dimensions and as such has its origins from greater schema than Egypt. However, the name Thoth became associated also with Hermes, the Greek God of Mercury (spiritualized mind), and Trismesgistus (meaning thrice great), through his experience in Greece. Thus he became also known as Thoth Hermes Trismesgistus. Another title associated with Thoth is the great Tehuti, also commonly spelled as Tahuti, these are all one and the same being, however to add to the confusion he informs us that other beings have also used the title Thoth. Thoth Hermes lived 300 years in that lifetime at which time he translated his form and entered another dimensional experience…. It is important to understand that Thoth was and is also an archetype. The study of archetypes is lengthy and complex, but suffice it to say in this case the Thoth archetype existed prior to his embodiment within Earthen genetics previously described. Once his experience on the Earth in that lifetime was completed, High Priests and Priestesses of the ancient Temples worked to infuse his soul’s knowledge and experience into the Thoth archetype more strongly. Thus now we have both the soul being we know as Thoth, and his archetype which is imbued with that soul essence.”

Simeon Nartoomid: “Another concept is that of the ‘Kali Rift’, which is a tear in the fabric of time-space and separates the Earth reality from the greater reality within what he [Thoth Raismes] calls the ‘Ranna Time Flow’. There are many different points or ‘nodes’ of interface between the Kali Time Rift and our linear time reality, but in actuality they all exist simultaneously in the greater continuum.” Moreover, “According to Thoth Raismes there are two basic types of Light, the Oritronic or half-Light spectrum, and the Metatronic or full-Light spectrum. These two different spirals of Light are synonymous with the ‘fallen universe’ and the ‘pure universe’ respectively. The world we know is actually in a space where the two overlap, with the planetary consciousness strongly orientated towards the Oritronic spectrum. We are as a planetary consciousness however, evolving towards what is commonly being called a planetary ascension, into the Metatronic Light. It is important to understand that there are varying gradients of realization of each of these Light spectrums, and that the Oritronic spectrum is not bad, it is simply not complete.”
